AXFLITE AND NYFLITE

Axflite and Nyflite are two styles of carpet designed uniquely by Axminster Carpets solely for aircraft carpet purposes.
The Aerocare and Fiber ProTector are applied both to our Axflite and Nyflite carpets during the manufacturing process. The treatment covers the carpets fibres and creates a shield, reducing the possibilities of carpet and aircraft corrosion.

Axflite
Axflite is made up of 100% wool. The yarn used is our finest, strongest, most durable wool, selected from our most suitable fleeces. By using Axflite, it not only enhances the aircrafts safety performance immensely, but Axflite also improves the aircrafts environment.

Nyflite
Nyflite is our lightest aircraft carpet and consists of 100% nylon. Due to its astonishing weightlessness it immediately saves massive amounts on fuel consumption, enabling there to be less stress and wear of other on-board components, such as breaking systems.
Whilst Nyflite is the lightest, it also has a greater surface pile yarn, resulting in extended wear and performance.

Due to the way in which Axflite and Nyflite carpets are designed, the need to replace the carpet is reduced significantly, unlike many other aircraft carpets around. This, therefore, saves masses on both material, trim, installation and other direct maintenance costs, allowing the airline to spend more on other operational necessities such as fuel.
