Axminster Carpets Ltd holds BS Quality
assurance 1SO 9001 1994 which means that all our products
are manufactured to the highest possible degree of control
assuring our customers of the best quality products
available on the market.
Aviation
Axminster Carpets Ltd is the only UK manufacturer
U.K.A.S approved to hold certificate JAR 25-853 Appendix
F laboratory B4 status. This means that we are the only
UK manufacturer with authority to conduct in house flammability
testing, thereby increasing the speed of product turnaround
for our customers.
Underlay
Axfelt 65, Axminster Carpets Ltd underlay
has been tested by the BCTC and conform to the following
standards:
BS 4790
BS 5287 : 1987 (1996)
BS 5808 1991 (!996) (contract)
The above British Standards test for,
compression, static loading test, breaking strength
and elongation, resistance to breaking and cracking
of underlay, thickness of underlay.
Carpets
Axminster Carpets Ltd control tests its
products on a monthly basis ensuring that all our products
are manufactured to the highest possible degree at all
times. This is to guarantee that we consistently deliver
quality to our customers.
The European and British Standards that
our products are tested to include the following:
BS 4051: 1987 (1996) - total thickness
BS 4098:1975 (1996) - compression and recovery
test
BS 4939:1987 (1996) - static loading test
BS 4052:1987 - dynamic loading test
BS EN 1307- classification of pile carpets, covers weight
specifications, pile details and performance tests such
as the hexapod.
Maritime
Axminster Carpets holds the following
maritime certifications:
Certificate IMO Res. A.653 (16)
part 5 - fire testing (8 and 9 shot marine carpet)
Axminster Carpets Ltd. have Test Certificates passes in several qualities for the following I.M.O. tests,
Fire tests according to Resolution A.653(16) as amended by Resolution MSC.61(67) Annex 1, Part 5: For smoke and toxicity to the International Maritime (IMO) Resolution 61(67) annex 1, Part 2 Smoke and Toxicity test
