Janine Cashin, product development manager for Axminster Carpets sees a slightly different trend for 2007.

“Neutral and natural are still the most popular group especially for tufted carpet, but there is a shift towards stronger colours that reflects what has been happening in the interiors market during 2006.

“Textured carpets are maintaining their position within the flooring sector whether as loop pile constructionor using yarn technology.
“Meanwhile traditional patterned Axminster carpets are also seeing something of a revival, again in response to interior trends. Because of this we should expect to see further growth in 2007.”
